I’ve had a few parcels come in from recent purchases, and I want to share them here.

First up is Wolf Wytch Apothecary, if you are a long time reader you will see I often buy from this brand. https://wolfwytch.com/

Hecate’s Moon is strong, powerful and tenacious, just like our namesake deity.
Top notes of lemon, lime and mint lead into a heart of rich sweet tobacco, warm spices and a hint of cognac. Smokey woods of oak, ebony and incense combine with dark musks to complete this fragrance.
Hecate’s Moon is full bodied, deep, velvety and captures the essence of our triple goddess perfectly.

Hecate’s Moon is finished with mugwort, the ancient healing herb of magic.

Imbolc Snap Bar is – Bergamot, Sandalwood and Rosemary essential oils have been specifically blended to create a fresh and herbaceous scent. These oils have been chosen especially to represent the thawing of the season and the return of the buds of spring.
Imbolc is infused with dried rosemary and a dried orange slice.

The little freebie is Mama Magick in a crescent moon shape. Lavender and Chamomile are renowned for sending you off into the deepest of slumbers – just what any witchy Mama needs!

Completely by accident I found the most beautiful make up, thanks to Lunalily’s Video Here She has bought Casper make up, but I stumbled upon this set Rituals, and it was all £1 each as in a sale, apart from one box was £2.50

This box was £2.50 it has Face Gems, Eyeshadow Quad, Black Liquid Lipstick, and Maleficent Style Headband

No real reason for buying this, but I’m thinking it’s perfect for next year’s Whitby goth weekend, a perfect lipstick to wear. Festival season always good with face gems, and who doesn’t want to be Maleficent.

A couple of loose glitters, pink with silver, and a white iridescent green, purple shifts. These were £1 each.

Beautiful frosted highlighter, golden hues, feels super creamy and I’d probably use as a eyeshadow more. Also £1

Another highlighter white frosted style with pinky purple shift. Also £1

A black creamy lipstick, shaped like a double pointed crystal, perfect for a crystal lover like myself. A gorgeous black too and not drying. This too was £1.

Loved finding these by accident and getting to try out some more adventurous make up for £1 and a whole new brand to try too.

Usually each Halloween I like to make sure I buy some new gothic, Halloween’s, horror make up. And this year I opted for the Plouise Sept budget box which arrived second week of October. (Exactly while we were away and busy) so sadly it couldn’t be used or taken on holiday)

It was a mystery which of the two Hocus Pocus Halloween palettes you’d get, but you’d get one palette and some lip balm and oil. (I gave those away to my daughter so I can’t review or show here) the budget box cost £30 but the palette alone is £35 with other products ranging from £10 to £18 each making the value of the box over £50 so worth taking the risk on.

Using photos from their website, so photo credit to Plouise to show their palette off as it should be viewed. It’s stunning!!

I got the Hocus Pocus palette Available here Photo credit to Plouise

It has a metal heart lock and key, you have to unlock the padlock to gain entry. Palette is shaped like a bound book, with a huge mirror and 18 shades on the front. Turn the book over and open at the back you have another huge full length mirror and another 18 shades, we have shimmers, Matte, and Glitters, with transition shades too. Huge value for money.

Honestly I would have preferred the Black book as some shades are so like my Jeffree Star Cremated Palette, and it’s darker over all, but I will either buy it at a later date, using black Friday deals, or just brave some colours for once!

Swatches of my Hocus Pocus front of the palette. Bare skin, one swipe.
Back of the palette, Bare skin and one swipe

I will say they can stain pretty bad, especially reds and purples, took some shifting with make up wipes. But all deep reds and purples stain.

Not the best photos but I’m new to that. I used the colours Grave Danger an orange, and Spell Check the gold glitter. Ghoul gang darkest burgundy for eye liner.

What can I say except WET. Up 4.30am to get ready and set off to get there at 10am, didn’t go to plan at all 🤣🤣🤣🤣 barely slept and it turned out more like 11.20am arrival, but no matter we were on our way!!

Me and Victoria

We had an extremely wet Friday, and we headed off to warm up and sleep quite early as we hadn’t really slept the night before. Best thing we ever did as I woke up totally refreshed. Coffee and porridge powered us up for the day, everything was so much nicer not being soaking wet.

Bran Stoker plaque
Bombed house from war times

We visited the Church and this year it was FULL of photoshoots, coats on gravestones, standing on graves, sitting on the stone I find it is disrespectful behaviour, and no not from the Goths as they full know and wouldn’t do it. So this did dampen my spirits a tad. As it got dark and the partial lunar eclipse was upon us we discovered beautiful dressed windows and scary tunnels, and the lit up Abbey (in the Dracula book film)

Headed back to watch films and sleep hopefully as well as before. We had 4 pins from Jasmine and Paul and Vickie’s stall, so Sunday we had different plans. Which honestly went in the bin, when we woke up to an even wetter day. Opting to stay dry indoors we watched Dracula the 3 part BBC show which is on Netflix. Loved it all the more as it’s connections to Whitby. Once it dried over in the afternoon, we once again headed to town, to hunt for Bram Stoker’s bench, pay our respects to Sophie Lancaster’s bench ( see her foundation Here)

Feeling pretty hard to say goodbye to the place, it went from wet to dry and back to wet again (cursed UK weather) but we had a ball and I’m already looking forward to next year.

It’s October, so that means I need to stop being lazy and re bleach my hair and re pink it too. And I’m using #BleachLondon kit, called Total Bleach.

In this kit you get 1 bottle of 30% vol, 2 sachets of powder, 1 purple shampoo, and the BEST hair mask ever. Plastic gloves too.

Decided for this pink session I should use all the old scrap bits of #Stargazer Magneta as it’s my favourite brightness and they need using up. But I’ve had to add water to make it easier to get the product out of the bottle, so it could be patchy. I have #Killstar Hell Kitty Pink on hand in case.

Magneta Pink
What I’m working with, roots need bleaching, and this pink hasn’t been done since May 2023.
Killstar Hell Kitty. This one is slightly more purple based.
First bleach session, used half the liquid and 1 sachet.

Some patches of hair hid, as I have extremely dense thick dark hair, so need to rebleach with the other sachet and last of the bottle. Which I will do the next day. After each bleach session I use the purple shampoo and hair mask provided.

Second bleach session, the next day. With hair mask after each session. My bleach and pink are under colours.
I’ve had so many end bits left in the stargazer, so I added a dribble of water to make runnier, so I could use these up.

Thankfully we could totally re do the pink and bleached hair with all the end bits of Stargazer Magenta, which means next time I dye it, I will use hell kitty by Killstar. I left the pink on for 5 hours, to really let it absorb in. (Perfect excuse to watch films too)

Feels so good to be bright again, just need to actually straighten it, but I feel like I need to rest my arms and hands for a bit. So maybe in a few days time.

Halloween items as I’ve said in previous posts are my everyday house decor, so I get excited with July/August as it means the Halloween,Gothic, Horror ranges come out, and I can add a few pieces. Here are mine from Asda.

Now sadly out of stock but from Asda Here

I’ve been after this bath mat for many years, so I was eager to snap this one up. More threadbare than it appears online though.

Still available Here

Loved this on site, I had been eyeing up a fleece blanket with mushrooms on, but that sold out so fast. I then spotted this real wool blanket and loved the design. It’s so super soft, a real snuggle blanket.

Still available Here

Obviously I spotted this and it matches? Or does it?? Meant to match the blanket I presume, but the colour orange/red are different yet the pattern is identical. Oh well small bugbear for a cosy new hot water bottle.

I’ve had some amazing new crystals this month and presents (belated mother’s Day gifts) so I thought I would share them here.

Aren’t they awesome, so from Room spray, to pens, wax melts, sticky notes, mug and keyring and even candles too. All from Kate’s Clothing one of my favourite shops for all alternative goodies.

And on tiktok the crystals you can buy are amazing!! And they are pretty cheap too.

And new swimwear for the summer, both hydro and wild swimming, and beachy days too.
