Oooft this poor hand and wrist has been through it, and while it’s been amazing, I have put this fusion through it. So far we’ve done 3 weeks of daily yoga, and it’s been making the wrist ache, and the thumb pad swell. But compression gloves and resting on hot water bottles have helped.

It’s not terrible and certainly nothing like pre op, just aches to note down and keep an eye on. I have to admit I’ve been impressed that I’ve been doing planks and downward facing dogs. So I can’t complain.

Due to the weather and cold snap we’ve had, I’ve noticed the swelling returning to the finger knuckles as well, so overall arthritis has been kicking my ass this week 😔

Pre op hand is a whole different story, it’s immensely painful and starting to give way again when I hold things, or sting when I try to plug phone chargers in 🙄 roll on surgery date.

I’ve bought a few new pieces of Skincare from Primark, watched some good things and just a general life update.

It’s still super wet, cold and not feeling like May at all. We’ve had the Flower Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse. We should be out drinking to the sunsets, but it’s still cosy movies with hot chocolate here.

£4.50 for 25ml it’s a amber bottle with dropper.

First up from Primark is SPF30 moisturing serum drops (laughable as so rainy) SPF 30 moisturising drops with argan oil and Vitamin E. Work to prep & perfect your skin with this lightweight moisturising serum. This antioxidant-infused serum can be used alone or as part of your daily skincare routine. I personally find it a tad greasy, but I’m new to it, so will give it longer and try some make up on top as I have only used it alone so far.

£5.00 for 30ml usual lotion tube, I did expect the same amber bottle as the others.

Ceramide Night Treatment It’s crafted with ceramides, an ingredient that helps prevent moisture from escaping the skin, as well as hyaluronic acid, helping this sheet mask to plump and hydrate for a visibly smooth complexion. It’s a beautiful more luxurious cream perfect for night, let the face truly drinks it in. One to repurchase for sure.

£4.00 for 200ml lotion tube. I paid £2.00.

I couldn’t find Primarks write up on it. However most Glycolics do the same job. Glycolic Body Cream, Containing Glycolic Acid, this body cream visibly improves the appearance of skin tone and texture, which helps skin look renewed.

What is it good for?

Skin looks brighter.
Skin appears more radiant.
Skin looks renewed.
Just what my body needs to shed it’s winter dull lackluster look. Smells divine and feels like it sinks in quickly, so you don’t stay tacky.

That’s the new buys from Primark. I’m sure I will be back for more when I can.

Who doesn’t love listening to Taylor Swift, perfect reading music for the background. Disney+ special sees Taylor Swift along with co-producers Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff come together for the first time to perform the critically acclaimed number one smash-hit album, “Folklore”. They created the album during the lockdown, and they made the album from their homes.

Wendy Darling, a young girl looking to avoid boarding school, meets Peter Pan, a boy who refuses to grow up. Wendy, her brothers, and Tinker Bell travel with Peter to the magical world of Neverland, where she encounters an evil pirate captain. Not a fan of Peter Pan usually but it was well done, and I loved it.

Four survivors of the Ghostface murders leave Woodsboro behind for a fresh start in New York City. However, they soon find themselves in a fight for their lives when a new killer embarks on a bloody rampage. Probably my favourite one, though now I have an excuse to re watch them all.

This month is now about to be filled with Custom insoles to be fitted, Micats for my other hand, dental surgery, then a review on x-rays for spine, and review for x-rays on hand. It’s a full time job with all these hospitals, appointments, and specialists. I can only hope they all go as well as they can do.

It’s been a restful week, following our camping adventures. As the walk we did during being away had really took it out of me, and on top of that the weather was cold and damp, which increased pain levels to sky high!!

Although we were wearing 2 jumpers and coats, hats and gloves. The legs only had 1 pair of trousers on and it got them very very cold, once it sets in its hard to get that cold out of them too. Especially when you are camping in a field.

So it’s 4 days since we’ve got home, and I just about feel ready to do some gentle stretches, and movement. The back feels very siezed up and has done since the following Saturdays walk.

Child pose is always a good stretch, though I have to watch I don’t dislocate the shoulders as they pop out a lot in this position.
Knee to chest, I find it hurts me less if the other leg is bent. This stops the hip flexor swelling and pain.
For piriformis pain I usually do them this way, but with 1 hand it’s a tad harder so I’ve switched to these below instead.
Please GET CLEARED to do these before you attempt them after a hip replacement. But while I struggle to get up and down off the floor they are an excellent alternative.

Next week I have the custom insole fittings, so let’s see how that goes and if it can make a difference to my lower back pain.

We had high hopes, the sun was shining and the wind had died down, off we set for a Peak District Adventure. Further we got away from home, the darker the clouds got. Oh well a bit of rain won’t hurt.

Totally Instagram worthy as they say, it’s a bit chilly and damp but all is well at the moment…. Until it was a complete deluge and we got soaked through our waterproof coats. Feet wet, trousers soaked it was awful. Retreat to drier areas to restock the day.

We sat in the car and got rewarded with a double rainbow, even could see the end of the rainbow too. Though where was the pot of gold?? Have I been lied too my whole life?

Sarnies in the car, dry off a bit, let the wind die down and head back out again soon

The end of March, and Beginning of April is Ostara (the equinox) a sign of Spring arriving, and we were Bursting with ideas of things to do, adventures to plan. But…. Life. So we’ve missed our walks and adventures for over a week now due to illness in the house.

Which has meant I have been able to do my physio more regular at home, as usually our walk would make me unable to do it for so many days. So now I’ve been able to do it 4 times a week, which makes a huge difference.

Weather also hasn’t been our friend, as the cold and heavy rains, hail and snow all came back this week too. This flares up all the extra pains.

While I haven’t had the illness of Mr Moon I certainly haven’t felt too clever, and at times felt nauseous. So I’ve been slower and done less this week, we’ve bolted up in the house and avoided everyone while we are poorly. Better to be all ill now, rather than the later part of April as we have so so much booked.

My friend won an audio course for me, so this has also been keeping me entertained, I have a Tarot course and Crystal healing course.

I have caught up on our seed planting and giving them some crystal help too. So although we haven’t managed to get outside, we’ve had some nature inside instead.

We have our daughters 30th birthday coming up, a nephews wedding, and 2 epic camping trips to come. So blogging maybe less regular while we are off doing all the adventurous things!! The best thing about Spring Ostara time is all the new energies and new beginnings, and fresh air to come, so come on sunshine, come back!
